New Album - BEAT EMULSIONS

Beat Emulsions revisits my 2016 ambient album “Emulsions” from a new angle.

Each original piece on “Emulsions” was composed as a soft, floating harmonic “cloud,” but was built against a steady rhythmic beat grid that shaped its timing and structure. That rhythmic beat scaffolding was removed before release, leaving only the ambient forms.

Years later, I returned to those same pieces and composed new beats to fit their original architecture.

The result is not a remix, but a reimagining: the same harmonic material, largely unchanged, but now heard through newly written rhythmic frameworks.

Sunburn EP

  • Gravel Sunburn - The original piece, started in GarageBand on the iPad and finished in Logic Pro

  • Bronceada Gigante - A Cuban-flavored version, with some Brazilian samba whistles tossed in just for fun. Features the first Spanish language lyrics I’ve ever written.

  • Tandoori Sunburn - A version using tabla drums and Indian instrumentation.

  • Liquid Sunburn - An extended, chill reverb bath.
